~ Thank you for visiting the Sterling and Stone website. My ambition is to create beautiful, unique bracelets for others to enjoy. Inspired by my mother’s hobby of beading, I started making jewelry for myself several years ago and frequently received compliments on the bracelets I created. I was motivated by this feedback to make bracelets for gifts and fund-raising events at work, and was amazed at how personally rewarding it was to have people so appreciative to receive one of my creations. Adding a little happiness to someone's life - that is why I do this and why I decided to make my bracelets available to a larger audience.
~ I also draw inspiration from my passion for the environment, and the natural processes that create our magnificent landscapes. For over 25 years my professional career afforded me a role in environmental science, which also increased my respect for our natural resources. I typically head to the mountains with my husband (a geologist) for hiking vacations. His teachings and expertise, and the beauty of the gems and minerals that are created by amazing, ever-changing geologic processes, provide the vision for using silver and gemstones in my bracelet designs.
~ I think you will be genuinely pleased if you purchase a Sterling and Stone bracelet. I use high-quality, stunning gemstone and sterling silver materials that are beautiful and will provide many years of enjoyment. When exploring websites, shops, and magazines I have yet to find other bracelets similar to the ones I create. So you will not only own a beautiful piece of handcrafted jewelry, but a distinctive piece as well. Many of my bracelets are designed to be worn together. I wear either the silver creek (3mm) or silver river (4mm) bracelet with each of my gemstone bracelets, and it makes for a very attractive combination.
